Using rock, a natural substance as a mental representation of Punk. This is very convincing since stone is hard, heavy and has a rough surface. We dumped two big scale rocks in the middle of the restaurant on purpose to separate the VIP dining area with the general one. At the same time, creating a great impact for the small stage next to them. Rock’s imperfections, the cracks are emphasized in the black & white feature wall next to the bar counter. We proposed black linear ceiling lights at different heights throughout the dining area to emphasize the chaotic and randomness of Punk Rock. All signage’s are illuminated to create an interesting funky vibe. To communicate more the idea of the punk subculture, we introduced an unexpected, striking graffiti typography graphics on the wall. In addition, greenery was added to balance & soften the interior space. The main goal is to combine all the design elements and create a “Punk expression through the Interiors” which embracing self-expression, freedom, independence, authenticity.
